A method for spatial deconvolution of spectra
A method for spatial deconvolution of spectra is presented. It follows the same fundamental principles as the “MCS image deconvolution algorithm” (Magain, Courbin, Sohy, 1998) and uses information contained in the spectrum of a reference Point Spread Function (PSF) to spatially deconvolve spectra of very blended sources. An improved resolution rather than an infinite one is aimed at, overcoming...
متن کاملPOSITIVE AND NEGATIVE ION MASS SPECTRA OF RING - SUBSTITUTED NITROBENZENES
The 70 ev positive and negative ion mass spectra of ring-substituted nitrobenzenes were studied. The influence of the substituent group on the fragmentation modes of the molecular ions is discussed. The effect of pressure in the formation of negative ions was also studied. As expected, the ratio of fragment ions to negative molecular ions decreased with increasing pressure in ion source.
متن کاملDiscovery of protein acetylation patterns by deconvolution of peptide isomer mass spectra
Protein post-translational modifications (PTMs) play important roles in the control of various biological processes including protein-protein interactions, epigenetics and cell cycle regulation. Mass spectrometry-based proteomics approaches enable comprehensive identification and quantitation of numerous types of PTMs. However, the analysis of PTMs is complicated by the presence of indistinguis...
متن کاملImproved Peak Detection and Deconvolution of Native Electrospray Mass Spectra from Large Protein Complexes.
Native electrospray-ionization mass spectrometry (native MS) measures biomolecules under conditions that preserve most aspects of protein tertiary and quaternary structure, enabling direct characterization of large intact protein assemblies. However, native spectra derived from these assemblies are often partially obscured by low signal-to-noise as well as broad peak shapes because of residual ...
متن کاملer Order Spectra ased Deconvolution trasound Images
We address the problem of improving the spatial resolution of ultrasound images through blind deconvolution. The ultrasound image formation process in the RF domaim can be expressed as a spatio-temporal convolution between the tissue response and the ultrasonic system response, plus additive noise. Convolutional components of the dispersive attenuation and aberrations introduced by propagating ...
